Credentials: Psychology, Criminal Justice
Position title: Senior
Hi! My name is Natalie Guimont, my pronouns are she/her/hers and I am a senior majoring in Psychology and getting a certificate in Criminal Justice. For the past 5 months I have worked as a legal intern for the law firm, Axley Attorneys. I am continuing this internship during my senior year. I have really enjoyed working for them, getting to know what it is like working in a firm, and getting first hand experience with both civil and criminal proceedings. As a part of the Criminal Justice program, I interned with the Department of Justice in the Criminal Appeals Unit last fall and learned valuable knowledge on the inner workings of the Appellate Court while developing useful skills I now use in my present internship. I also interned with Judge Janet Protasiewicz two years ago who is a Milwaukee County Circuit Court judge. If any of these experiences sound interesting to you feel free to reach out.
I plan on attending law school after graduation but also taking a gap year between undergrad and law school to gain experience in the legal system. I have taken a lot of legal studies classes and psychology classes that have aided me in my academic and professional life. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions by email and if you would like to set up an in-person or virtual meeting let me know.
